Similar to the case with the British, in order to contain the German threat during WWII, M.E.H/MAH also collaborated with the Germans from time to time. Additionally,  it conducted a number of operations to disclose and eliminate anti-Türkiye plans of the Germans. In one of such operations, M.E.H/MAH  learned about various contacts, meetings, and plans of Germany regarding Türkiye and the Middle East through renowned Abwehr agent Wilhelm Hamburger.
