Our Proactive Approach Towards Countering Terrorism and PKK/KCK

Within the framework of its counter-terrorism policy constituted with a holistic and strategic view, our Organization has been fighting continuously against any terrorist activity targeting our country within and beyond our borders.

We continue our efforts which are focused on neutralizing terrorist leaders, deciphering their action strategies, destructing their organizational structures, preventing recruitment, disrupting their financial/logistic activities and counteracting their propaganda.

Unveiling the support provided to terrorism by the rival and adversary powers which are using terrorist organizations as “Proxy Actors”, as well as uncovering their alliance with terrorism, is also an important constituent of our struggle.

With respect to counter-terrorism efforts, our intensive air, land and pinpoint operations targeting the cross-border presence of terrorist organization PKK/KCK, whose efficiency within our country has almost come to a standstill, have been continued resolutely in coordination with all shareholders of national security bureaucracy, within the strategy of “eliminating the threat at its source”. Recently, PKK/KCK’s armed capacity, as well as their critical structures in Syria and Iraq, has been successfully exterminated by local UAV and A-UAVs.

Extensive operations carried out against PKK/KCK have caused extreme destruction to the terrorist organization; have raised security concerns among the leading cadre, and accordingly, the stability of Iraqi region as the main base of the organization has become questionable for PKK/KCK.

Operations, especially those conducted with the intention of eliminating senior leaders of PKK/KCK, have obstructed the mobility of the organization and restricted their actions significantly. Additionally, the ideological formation of the organization has been weakened and their attempts to exploit local people have been disrupted.

This sacred fight will not be given up until our country is entirely free from the grasp of terrorism, and no terrorism corridor will ever be tolerated along our borders. No initiative, targeting the integrity and social welfare of our country, will ever succeed, and any formation in pursuit of this goal will absolutely be eliminated.
