Bülent TÜRKER (1926 - 2010)

 

Bülent Türker (born 1926) graduated from the Turkish Military Academy before joining the Turkish Armed Forces. Upon holding various positions in Türkiye and abroad throughout his military career, he was appointed as Head of the Board of Education at the Turkish Military Academy as a Brigadier General and subsequently served as Commander of the Sixth Armored Brigade. Türker held the position of Acting Undersecretary at the National Intelligence Organization between 23 July 1973 and 27 February 1974 and, again, between 30 September and 24 November 1974. He proceeded to become Commander of the 19th Infantry Division and Head of Counter-Intelligence at the Office of the Military Chief of Staff. Between 19 November 1979 and 7 September 1981, he returned to the National Intelligence Organization as Lieutenant General. Türker was appointed as Commander of the Sixth Corps and later retired from the Turkish Armed Forces.

Bülent Türker passed away on 30 March 2010.
