Hayri Ündül (born 1929) graduated from the Turkish Military Academy. Upon joining the Turkish Armed Forces in 1950, he held various positions before being promoted to Brigadier General in 1976 and serving as Major General between 1980 and 1985. In 1985, Ündül was promoted to Lieutenant General and became Commander of the Seventh Corps. He was appointed as Undersecretary on 5 September 1986 and served the Organization until 29 August 1988, when he became Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Defense.
