Teoman Koman (born 1936) graduated from the Turkish Military Academy and joined the Turkish Armed Forces in 1956 as a Third Lieutenant. He was appointed Brigadier General in 1981 and served as Major General in 1985-1989. Koman was appointed as Undersecretary on 29 August 1988 and become Lieutenant General during his tenure at the Organization. He was appointed to Gallipoli as Corps Commander on 27 August 1992 and promoted to Four-Star General the following year to become Commander of the Third Army. Koman was appointed Commander General of the Gendarmerie in 1995 and retired two years later.
