DIRECTORATE OF
PSYCHOLOGICAL INTELLIGENCE

The Directorate of Psychological Intelligence is charged with producing psychological intelligence on the current and potential subversive psychological activities emerging from inside and outside the country which are directed against the state and national integrity, the independence and security of the state, the constitutional order and all the elements constituting the national strength. This directorate is also charged with counteracting such activities. To this end, it conducts the activities of psychological intelligence and operation.

Various sources are utilized in the production of intelligence. The use of technology and the spread of mass communication means have globalized knowledge. Thus the access to open and semi-open sources has become easier, safer, and more controllable.

Therefore, the MIT has naturally focused its efforts on these sources in the production of intelligence. Compiling information from the open and semi-open periodicals, printed sources, news agencies, television channels and the Internet, and presenting the compiled information to the use of the MIT are among the duties of the Directorate of Psychological Intelligence.
