1- Determination of the Personnel Requirements
The field of activities of the National Intelligence Organization requires personnel
with diverse academic backgrounds and capabilities.
The Organization, in order to carry out activities in an effective manner, needs not
only "Intelligence Officers", but also Computer Experts, Engineers, Technicians
and Translators.
The Organization implements its personnel policy aiming to accomplish its targets of
improvement in a planned manner. Within this framework, in case of need, advertisements
are issued in newspapers to reach the most favorable persons for the tasks given. These
announcements are also published in our Web Page.
Personnel for branches other than the ones stated in the notifications are also recruited
whenever necessary. The branches, for which frequent recruitments are not made and
therefore not notified through advertisements, are filled by means of evaluating the
petitions mailed to our application address. Every Turkish citizen has the right to
make a petition as stipulated in Article 74 of the Constitution. Within the framework
of this right, every person who applies for employment in the National Intelligence
Organization by means of a petition is informed about the outcome by e-mail or mail.
2. The Qualifications of the Candidates
Candidates who are to be employed in our Organization must have the following qualifications:
- Meeting the general requirements provided for in article 48 of the Civil Servants Law 657,
- In accordance with the regulations of our Organization, having no drawbacks to be appointed,
- For those with a bachelor's degree, being not older than the age of 30 (for those with
a master's or doctorate degree, being not older than 32),
- It is essential to have completed military service. However, for the Assistant Intelligence Expert branch, personnel with deferred military obligation can be employed.
- Education:
For Intelligence Officers : Being a graduate either of the Faculties of LAW; POLITICAL
SCIENCES; ECONOMICS; BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION; ECONOMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES, and
of other higher educational institutes, if needed by the Undersecretariat, (Those, who
graduated from foreign faculties have to submit the certificate of equivalence given by
the Higher Education Board.)
For Engineers : Being a graduate either of the Electronics and Computer Engineering Departments
of the Engineering Faculties and of those foreign faculties officially approved to be
equivalent to the Turkish faculties,
For Translators-Interpreters : Being a graduate of the Faculties of Foreign Languages
-Compulsory Exams:
For Intelligence Officers:
Getting 85 points or over from the Selection Exam for Civil Servants KPSSP1,
For a foreign language; getting 70 points or over from the Language Exam for Civil Servants (KPDS) or answering correctly at least 42 questions in the foreign language section of KPSS (in other words, correctly answering 70% of 60 questions) or getting at least PBT: 523, CBT: 193 or IBT: 69 from TOEFL,
The grades taken from KPSS, KPDS or the related foreign language exams should be belonging to the last five years.
For Translators: Getting 80 points or over from the Language Exam for the Civil Servants (KPDS).
The grades taken from KPDS should be belonging to the last two years.
