Ahmet Salih KORUR (1905-1982)

Ahmet Salih KORUR, who was born in Istanbul in 1905, graduated from the Topkapi Military Secondary School (Rustiye). During the period of the National Struggle he worked in the military factories. In 1925, he started to work as an employee in the General Directorate of Title Deed and Cadastre, where he worked for 20 years and was promoted to the level of General Director. Meanwhile he started to study law and graduated from the Faculty of Law in Ankara in 1935. In 1946 he was appointed as the General Director of Land and Settling Affairs. After the 1950 elections he was appointed as Undersecretary at the Prime Ministry and he remained in this post until May 27, 1960 when he retired.

While Ahmet Salih KORUR was Undersecretary at the Prime Ministry he also served as the Acting Director of the National Security Service (MAH) first during the period of April 18, 1957 - September 23, 1957 and later during the period of July 21, 1959 - October 2, 1959.
