Naci ASKUN (1906-1982)

Naci ASKUN, who was born in 1906 in USAK, graduated from the War College. Having served for the Turkish Armed Forces at various ranks, he was appointed to the Directorate of National Security Service (MAH) on April 15, 1940 when he was a Staff Captain; until 1952 he had been in various high ranking positions and on May 27, 1952 he was appointed as Military Attaché to Rome. Following the coup d'etat on May 27, 1960, Naci ASKUN again started to serve within the MAH. On January 17, 1961, Naci ASKUN was appointed as Director of the MAH and held this post until August 18, 1962.

Naci ASKUN, who retired from the Turkish Armed Forces with the rank of Major General, died in 1982.
